A little known history is that Hops n Malt was first named as Lee Tai Fu which was actually opened by the exact same team, serving the same comfort food with heart and made many customers’ bellies very happy at then peaceful Changi Village back in 2001.
Circa 2014, the Owner decided to bring back the same old home feel menu to serve the residents this time at the Tiong Bahru vicinity.
Living up to Hops n Malt’s promise not to disappoint anyone, this quirky Bar and Restaurant caters to the old and young with their extensive food and beer list and created an ambience complete with authentic items and memorabilia from yesteryears, all of which came from the Owner’s personal collection.
Customers enjoys spending their time at Hops n Malt – be it with family, friends, or a couple’s night out – you can often hear oohs and ahhs as they reminisce and enjoy the good food being served at Hops n Malt.
One Must Try Signature dish is definitely the Otah Pizza which is simply heavenly as described by many of Hops n Malt’s customers after they sink their first bite into the crispy dough with oozing melted cheese and home-made Otah slices. Other unforgettable dishes widely wonderfully reviewed by customers includes the Crispy Pork Knuckle (made from a secret family recipe) and the Hops n Malt’s Special Pasta.
The mentioned ones are just a flash of highlights from the large selection on the Menu which includes Asian, Western and even Mexican fares. There is simply a dish to suit any palate and moods of the customers!
For those who craves a beer, “simply spoilt for choice” is the only phrase to describe as there are beers from all over the world, some of which are in limited editions, and the list changes regularly to keep it fresh (with no pun intended) – all these at pocket friendly prices that will not blow any budget.
So remember, swing by and say Hello to Hops n Malt when you are in the area, you won’t be disappointed.
